Accessibility statement

We are committed to making the CARE-PAC website accessible to as many people as possible, in line with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

This statement applies to https://www.carepac.com. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That means you should be able to:

  • navigate the whole site using only a keyboard
  • resize text up to 200% without the layout breaking
  • use the site with screen-reader software (NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS, Narrator)
  • use the site comfortably on a phone, tablet, or desktop computer
  • read every page without needing to interpret colour alone to understand meaning

How accessible this website is

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the site, with AAA where reasonably achievable. This site is currently a prototype: a full accessibility audit will take place before the public launch, and any non-compliances will be listed here with planned remediation dates.

Reading level

Pages aimed at patients and carers are written to a reading age of 12 or below, with input from our Patient and Public Involvement panel before publication. If you find any participant-facing content difficult to read, we would like to hear from you.

What to do if you have problems with the site

If you have a problem using this site, or you cannot access information you need, please email hello@carepac.example. We will respond within 5 working days and try to find a way to give you what you need in a format that suits you — whether that is a phone call, large print, or an alternative document format.

Enforcement procedure

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the ‘accessibility regulations’). If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

Technical information

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard. We will publish the full compliance status, any known issues, and the dates by which we plan to fix them, ahead of public launch. Until then, this is a prototype intended for review by the project team and stakeholders.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 5 May 2026 (initial prototype version). It will be reviewed and updated before the public launch of the site.
