Privacy & cookies
How we handle visitor information on this website, in line with UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
Who we are
CARE-PAC is a research project funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and sponsored by the University of Strathclyde. This website is operated by the project team. Where the project processes personal data, the University of Strathclyde is the data controller.
What this notice covers
This notice covers personal data we collect through the website at https://www.carepac.com. It does not cover personal or clinical data collected as part of the CARE-PAC trial itself — that information is governed by the trial’s separate Participant Information Sheet, which you will receive from your care team if you are invited to take part.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your web browser. We use cookies in the following ways:
- Strictly necessary cookies — these remember your accessibility preferences (such as light or dark mode) and your cookie choice itself. These do not track you and do not require consent.
- Analytics cookies — only set if you give consent. We will use a privacy-preserving analytics tool to count visits and understand which pages are useful. Analytics is not loaded before consent.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s storage in your browser, after which the cookie banner will appear again on your next visit.
What data we collect
The website does not require an account. If you fill in the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you choose to send us, and use this only to reply. We do not share form submissions with third parties.
Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, time of visit — are kept for short periods for security and operational reasons.
Third parties
We do not load any third-party fonts, embedded videos, or analytics before you give consent. Where third-party services are used (such as a future newsletter platform), we will name them here and explain what they collect.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, and in certain circumstances to object to its use. To exercise any of these rights please contact hello@carepac.example.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
